The Importance of Self Care
So, I want to chat a little about the importance of self-care. It's very easy to fall under the everyday pressures that we are faced with and everyone gets tired and will eventually burn out if we do not create a space and time to take care of us. You can't be your best self if you're not healthy-mentally and physically. When I don't take time for me I see the effects in all areas of my life; work, business, personal relationships, and my overall well being. As I get older it's so much more important for me to stay in tune with what's going on with me and to stay in touch with myself enough to know when it's time for a break. I know when I'm getting to a place where I am not functioning at 100% or even 75%. In result, as of recently I have been very intentional about my self-care.
Self-care looks differently for everyone and you have to do what works for you but make sure you take time for yourself to decompress, unwind, and clear your mind. My mind is constantly on go and I typically only get about 4 hours of sleep a day and I'm realizing how much of a negative effect these practices have on my alertness, energy levels, and day to day functioning.

Time with God
Solo Movie Date
Day/Night with the Girls
Mani and Pedi
A Long Drive Alone
Playing with my Dogs
Enjoying Nature (especially by the water) It truly calms my soul
