Icicles

Hey Loves!

Hoping everyone had a blessed weekend. Mine consisted of getting my house in order a.k.a. taking my Holiday decorations down and getting much needed work done. I also tuned into the Surviving R. Kelly series and boy was it hard to watch. So disheartening and sad what those poor girls have gone through and some are still going through. How this man is walking around free just escapes me…yet Bill Cosby is behind bars. Could race play a factor in the lack of justice and convictions against these young girls and women? The whole documentary took me out and I shared my many thoughts on instastories. I prefer not to turn this post into that but had to address it, as it still is heavy on my mind and consumed a good portion of my weekend.

Anywho, let’s talk about the fashion…the real reason you’re here. :-) How fab is this sweater? It totally reminds me of icicles, giving me all of the pretty Winter feels. I typically stay away from tops such as this because I have broad shoulders and they tend to add bulk to my frame. However, Entice One was kind enough to send this to me and it actually worked out pretty well for me. Love the muted pastels and grey coloring and of course the fringe detail. I opted to pair it with my pearl distressed boyfriend jeans to play up the feminine details and added a pop of pink with the pumps to play up the pink hues in the sweater. The metallic purse added more texture, dimension, and edge…so I felt it was the perfect touch to bring the overall look together.
