Good Day Lovelies.

Hoping you all had a great weekend. It was super cold here and my crazy self scheduled a blog shoot…boy how interesting that was. What us creatives do…smh! Anywho, as you can see per the title today’s post is all about the Shearling coat a.k.a. Aviator coat. This is one trend that I am so happy came back around because it is a fave of mine. I remember I had a bomb chocolate brown shearling in high school and then this SUPER bad cream and tan Baby Phat one in College. Don’t judge…you know Baby Phat was everything back in the day. Not only do I find them super chic, they’re also so warm! The one I have on today is a nice modern/trendy twist to the typical classic style of this coat and I received sooooo many compliments while wearing this coat from all age groups, (men and women). This particular one is cut more like a slim sweater, so you really can’t fit much under this jacket and I am wearing a XL. Keep in mind though, I have broad shoulders and meaty arms. The Styling:

I opted to style this look pretty neutral and simple as I wanted the coat to be the focal point of this look. I paired it with the cognac suede boots that I waited 4 months for from Revolve. I’m so in love with them. They work with so much; sweater dresses, skirts, skinny jeans, etc. Anywho, a basic turtleneck and neutral but funky purse completed this overall neutral look.
