Happy Galentine's Day

Hey Lovelies!

Happy Love day. Hoping that you all take some time out of your day to celebrate you and love on yourself whether you are with someone or not. Self-love is the most important. For many years I used to despise this holiday and not because of anything personal that happened to me as I was always the relationship kind of girl, so I always had a significant other on V-day and felt the love for the most part. However, I HATED the pressure it placed on so many women/girls around me, especially during my early twenties. It was disheartening to watch so many beautiful, smart women who had so much going for themselves, allow a made-up holiday to make them feel less than because no one bought them chocolates or sent them flowers, etc. A woman's self-worth should never be validated via some stale chocolate, flowers or even worse via an obnoxious stuffed animal that has absolutely no purpose but to take up space and collect dust.

I acknowledge and realize that this day for some people can be depressing and a painful reminder regarding the state of their love life or lack thereof. PSA...Please DO NOT allow this holiday to have that much of an effect on how you view yourself. It's just another day. So, cheers to self-love and spreading love everyday!
