Dear 2019...

Greetings Lovelies!

Hoping you all had an amazing Christmas Holiday and are geared up for all the wonderful things to come in 2019! I’m already claiming my blessings as I know I serve a mighty and miraculous God! Quick recap: 2018 was a year of ACCOUNTABILITY for me. Taking accountability for my actions, words, thoughts, lack of actions, reactions, responses, perspective, circumstances, etc. Sometimes accountability is a hard thing for people to acknowledge because you actually have to confront and challenge things within you and in your life that aren’t easy to confront or change but I am a witness that when you put in the work, it is a rewarding experience and you come out a much better person.

My word of 2019 is simple and one that I sometimes forget how important and impactful it is/can be and that is LOVE. Simply put, I aspire to implement more LOVE in all areas of life. I’m learning when you respond and approach situations/people with LOVE the outcome and experience is so different, especially when dealing with extremely difficult people(they tend to need it the most). I am a firm believer that we attract what we put out and we all can use a little or a lot of love in our lives. What’s your word, phrase, or theme of 2019? Today’s look features this super cute and poppin’ African print reversible bomber jacket custom designed for me from Alvida Vintage. I love supporting small businesses, especially owned by women . The quality of the garment is on point and it’s a beautiful addition to my wardrobe and I know I will be remixing it several different ways. I’ll probably style it with a leather pencil skirt next time I wear it. It would also look great with a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans and a white turtleneck as a base to allow the colors and print to pop even more. Hope you enjoy and make sure to visit Alvida Vintage.
