How to Mix Prints at the Office Like A Pro

Good Day Lovelies!

Hoping you all had a great extended weekend. So, for today's look I am demonstrating and talking all about how to mix prints appropriately for the office. I am all for switching things up and stepping outside of the typical office attire. I happen to work in higher education allowing me the opportunity to be pretty flexible with my wardrobe. I work in an office where we can actually wear jeans to work but I do know this isn't ideal for most office environments. Anywho, enough about me and let's talk about you and how you can mix prints effortlessly like a pro in the office.

Style Tip #1: Keep it Subtle

A small pop of a contrasting print is just enough to add a fun but chic element to your work looks. I'd recommend incorporating the small pop via your accessories, whether it be, a statement necklace, pair of heels/loafers, belt, earrings, etc.

Style Tip #2: Don't Overdo It

My rule of thumb when print mixing in general is to stick with three prints...period. Sometimes, this can even come off "clownish" if the print is too busy or very large. So, to keep it office chic I'd keep the print mixing to two prints.

Style Tip #3: Stick with Smaller Prints

Smaller printed items are more subtle and subdued. It causes a second glance but doesn't warrant stares, which is more appropriate for the office. So, for example, a pair of pin striped slacks paired with a small printed polka dot blouse would be perfect. It's fashionable, chic, and great for the office.

Well, hope you've found these tips helpful. What say you? Are you a fan of print mixing in the office? What are some guidelines you follow?  Please do share as I would love to hear how you slay print mixing in the office. XOXO
